Ace Curry is a student in Austin, Texas, originally from Chicago, Illinois. Persistence is a very important virtue to her because she was raised to believe it is the key to success. Curry is an active member of her school and religious communities. She is the Freshman representative on the student council, the non-varsity choir representative, and a theater technician. She is influenced by her mother who is a musician, activist, and Unitarian Universalist minister. Curry is invested in LGBTQIA+ rights and gun control, she spends time organizing walkouts and visiting the capital to talk to her legislators about what needs to happen to make Texas a better place for people of all backgrounds and orientations. She loves spending her free time socializing with her friends and family and watching horror movies with her father. Curry is very inspired by the Scream franchise and is interested in pursuing a career in film. She believes passion and persistence rather than faking it till she makes it will be a key component to having a successful career.
